Overview of projects and tasks

Through Lano’s projects and tasks, you can successfully manage your workload and track your contractors’ progress. You can create a project, set its budget and time frame. We recommend you break the project down into multiple tasks and further allocate it to your contractors to make it easier to tackle and maximize your productivity.

Please note: Tasks are available for Contractor Management solution users. However, to access the projects, you should book the Control module. Please direct any questions about this feature to our sales team (sales@lano.io)

Here’s the overview of steps you might want to look at in order to set successful projects and tasks:

Step 1:

Before starting a new project, think of your end goal. Your objectives can differ - mobile app development, social media strategy, new market entry, marketing campaign, etc.

Step 2:

Once you have picked your final objective (or project), set a budget and time frame. You don’t want to start developing an idea, and then realise it is out of your financial reach or takes much longer to accomplish than needed.

Step 3:

The next essential component of a successful project is its structure. Try to break the project down into one or more tasks to make it as specific as possible.

Step 4:

Select the right contractors that will work on the tasks depending on their hourly pay, skill set, or location. At Lano, you can first request several partners to submit their proposals for the task and assign the task to the contractor with the best proposal.

Step 5:

Monitor the progress and evaluate the advancements.

Step 6:

Approve the tasks and receive your contractors’ invoices.

Please note: Only your team members have the right to create projects and tasks. However, you can assign certain freelancers the right to create tasks by themselves.

Step 7:

Archive projects when all tasks have been completed.
