The three ways to assign tasks to contractors

Assign a Contractor when creating a task

Step 1:

Select Tasks in the menu tab and click on "Add task" in the upper right corner.

Step 2:

When creating a task, the default status will be “In draft”. This way you can create a task first, and then select a Contractor who will work on it.

Step 3:

However, if you change the status to “Assigned”, “In progress”, or “Awaiting approval”, then the Team Member field will appear under the status and you will be able to directly select a contractor and assign them to the task you are creating.

Assign a contractor after the task creation with a request

Step 1:

As soon as you have created a task, click on "Add Contractor" in the partner tab to choose a person to send the task request to.

Please note: You can also send a task request to multiple contractors at a time and request their fee proposal for a certain task. This allows you to choose the best offer.

Step 2:

Choose a person from the list of contractors by clicking on the arrow next to the person you want to send the request to.

Please note: You can filter by multiple criteria (pay rate, availability, skills, etc.) and attach a compliance sending (contracts, forms and documents) when selecting a contractor.

Step 3:

Click "Invite" in the bottom left corner to send the request.

Step 4:

As soon as your contractor has accepted the request, you will receive a notification via e-mail and in your Lano account.

Assign a partner after the task creation without a request

You can also assign tasks without having received a confirmation of the task request from your contractor.

To do so, select a contractor and then directly assign them by clicking on the three dots in the right corner.
