The Lano platform allows you to submit changes to an employee’s salary, also known as payroll changes. You can make one-time or contractual changes, and edit these changes after saving.
This article explains how to add and edit payroll changes in the Lano platform.
Log in to your Lano account and navigate to the Payroll > Payroll cycles section in Lano. You will now see a list of active pay periods.
Click on the pay period that you want to edit or add changes to. This will take you to the Pay period page. Here you can see Salary Changes, Cycle report, and Payroll reports.
One-time changes are bonuses, commissions, benefits, allowances, reimbursements, etc. that you can add to your employee’s salary for one payroll cycle.
On the right, click on add changes > One time change.
Select the relevant employee, then under Group, select the type of change you wish to make. Under Item you can further specify the type of change. Finally, enter the amount to pay out in the Amount field. You can add files and leave any comments you want to include.
Please note: if you report Expenses you must also upload receipts that match the amount you want to reimburse. Without matching receipts, we cannot reimburse submitted expenses.
Contractual changes are for items such as salary increases, or other items that are part of the employees contract.
On the right, click on add changes > Contract change.
Select the relevant employee, then under Group, select the type of change you wish to make. Under Item you can further specify the type of change. Finally, enter the new amount in the Amount field. If you want to change the salary, please enter the new monthly salary under the Amount field. You can also add any comments you want to include.
Once you're done, hit the save button.
You can make edits to a salary change after you have submitted it. To do so, you click on the Edit icon (square with pencil) on the right side of the salary change item. If you want to delete a salary change, you can click on the Delete icon (garbage can).
