The Lano platform allows you to add payroll employees in two different ways: individually or by bulk uploading a list of all of your employees.
This article explains how to draft and create an individual employee profile in Lano.
Log in to your Lano account and navigate to Team > Team members section in Lano.
In the top right corner, click on the downward facing arrow next to the “Add Team Member” button. This will produce a drop-down menu. Select ‘’Add payroll employee.”
This will take you to the Add Payroll Employee page, where you will see the option to add your employee’s personal information and job details.
You can create an employee profile for current and future payroll employees. If you are in the process of hiring a candidate and want to create a placeholder for them on Lano and do not yet have the full details of their contract or salary, you can still create a draft of the employee profile by inputting three main components:
Candidate’s full name
You can input additional information if you have it, such as the candidate’s marital status, citizenship, and country of residence, but these are not required in order to create an employee’s profile.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the button “Save as Draft.”
You will then be directed back to your Team Members page, where you will be able to see your newly created employee profile. To update your employee’s profile information, click on the Edit button in the top right corner and apply your changes. Learn more about how to edit employee profiles here.
