Deliver a fully branded experience to your clients with Lano’s White Label feature.
This functionality empowers payroll providers to customize the look and feel of the Lano platform — ensuring your brand stays front and center across the user interface, emails, and onboarding flows.
The White Label feature allows payroll providers to replace standard Lano visuals and contact details with their own branding. It covers three key areas:
Brand Essentials
Define the basics of your brand identity across the platform:
Set a short company name displayed in-app and in all payroll-related emails.
Add a support email address where users can reach out for payroll-related questions.
Navigation
Upload your company logo to appear in the main menu of the Lano platform, making your brand visible to every user navigating the system.
Content
Personalize logos shown in:
Payroll-related emails (e.g., reminders, notifications about time-off requests or expenses)
Registration pages for new users from client organizations
In-app wizards (e.g., adding new entities or employees)
To enable white label branding:
Go to Settings.
Open the Customization tab.
Click Set up.
Follow the step-by-step setup wizard.
Note: Once applied, your white label branding immediately updates the Lano platform for all users within your organization and all your client organizations — except clients managed directly by Lano (if any).
Before starting, we recommend preparing your logo files in advance — they can’t be edited inside the wizard. You’ll be able to preview your branding at each step.
Here you’ll define:
Short company name — displayed in emails, payroll cycle details, and other payroll-related pages.
Support email address — visible to your clients for payroll inquiries.
Upload the logo that will appear in the main app menu.
Recommended specifications:
Size: 48 × 190 px (larger images are automatically resized; circular or square logos will keep proportions)
Format: White PNG or SVG with transparent background
Max file size: 10 MB
To upload your logo:
Click Upload.
Drag and drop your image file into the modal or select it from your computer.
Click Upload to confirm.
To replace uploaded image:
Click Update.
Delete the existing file.
Upload your new logo.
Click Update again.
Add the logo that will be displayed in:
Payroll-related emails
Registration flow for client users and employees
In-app wizards, such as adding entities or employees
Recommended specifications:
Size: 48 × 190 px
Format: Colored or dark monochrome PNG or SVG with transparent background
Max file size: 10 MB
Review all your uploaded assets and details. If everything looks good, click Apply personalized branding — and your white label customization will take effect immediately.
To update or replace your applied branding:
Go to Settings → Customization.
Click Edit.
Use Continue to move through the wizard and update your details or images.
Once done, click Apply personalized branding on the Review & Apply step.
Your new settings will be visible right away.
While your brand takes center stage, the platform still provides transparency about the collaboration between your organization and Lano. Users will see the Powered by Lano attribution in the following places:
Main Menu: A discreet “Powered by Lano” label appears at the bottom of the menu. On hover, users can see a tooltip with contact information and a link to more details about the payroll partnership model.
Emails: Payroll-related emails include a short note clarifying responsibilities and a “Powered by Lano” link to the Help Center.
EOR Services: White label customization does not apply to Lano’s Employer of Record (EOR) features. Any EOR-related pages and emails (e.g., billing, expense management, or time-off requests for EOR employees) retain Lano’s default branding.
Email Coverage: White label branding only applies to payroll-related emails. System notifications such as password resets, platform updates, or technical support messages continue to use Lano’s default design.
