Payroll Cycle Report

What is a Payroll Cycle Report?

The Payroll Cycle Report provides a complete snapshot of payroll data for any given cycle. It includes employee details, salaries, benefits, time off records, and any reported payroll changes. The report helps you track payroll activity, monitor and compare month-to-month changes, ensure accuracy, and easily export comprehensive payroll information for analysis or record-keeping.

How to Export a Cycle Report

  1. Go to the Cycle report tab of the desired payroll cycle.

  2. Click on Export & Import.

  3. Click on Export.

  4. In the export pop-up, configure your export options:

    • File format: XLSX (default)

    • Include attachments to the salary changes (if checked, adds folders with attachments for pay items to the export file)

    • Show previous month’s values for changed items (if checked, adds columns showing last month's value for any item changed in the cycle

  5. Click Export to download the file.

Report Overview

The exported report (XLSX file) includes five tabs:

  1. Summary

  2. Changes

  3. Monthly Compensation

  4. Time Offs Summary

  5. Employee Details

1. Summary

Provides a general overview of the payroll cycle, including company, cycle period, and aggregated compensation data.

Included fields:

  • Company entity(s)

  • Cycle start date – Cycle end date

  • Total Team Members in Cycle

  • Total Reported Changes

  • Total Monthly Compensation Change

  • Average Compensation % Change

  • Total Time Off Days


2. Changes

Displays all salary and contract-related changes reported during the cycle.

Included columns:

  • Team Member ID (if internal ID is set)

  • Lano ID

  • Team Member status

  • First name / Last name

  • Entity (For EOR employees only)

  • Change type

  • Change amount

  • Attachments

  • Comment

  • Updated at


3. Monthly Compensation

Lists all team members’ current and previous month’s salary, benefits, and one-time payments.

Included columns:

  • Team Member ID (if internal ID is set)

  • Lano ID

  • Team Member status

  • First name / Last name

  • Entity (For EOR employees only)

  • Currency

  • Current Monthly Salary

  • Previous Monthly Salary (if applicable)

  • Salary % Change (if applicable)

  • Contract values 

  • One-time changes (with attachments column if available)


4. Time Offs Summary

Summarizes all reported time-offs per team member within the cycle.

Included columns:

  • Team Member ID (if internal ID is set)

  • Lano ID

  • Team Member status

  • First name / Last name

  • Entity (For EOR employees only)

  • All time off types (each with an attachments column if available)


5. Employee Details

Provides comprehensive information about each team member included in the cycle.

Included columns for payroll employees:

  • Team Member ID (if client ID is set)

  • Lano ID

  • Team Member status

  • First name / Last name

  • Entity

  • Maiden name / Middle name

  • Job title

  • Team Member email

  • Contract start date / end date / termination date

  • Gender / Marital status / Nationality / Citizenship

  • Birthdate / Passport number / Social security number

  • Number of dependants / children

  • Phone / Address

  • Seniority date

  • Contract employment type

  • Working hours + type

  • Contract annual leave

  • Sick leave policy

  • IBAN / Account number

  • SWIFT/BIC / Sort code / Country of bank account

Included columns for EOR employees:

  • Team Member ID (if client ID is set)

  • Lano ID

  • Team Member status

  • First name / Last name

  • Job title

  • Team Member email

  • Contract start date / end date / termination date

  • Gender

  • Nationality

  • Country

  • Address

  • Contract employment type

  • Contract annual leave

  • Sick Leave Policy


Important Notes

  • All data in the exported report reflects the cycle status at the time of export.

  • Including previous month’s values provides better visibility of month-to-month changes across compensation and contract items.

  • While it is possible to download a report, update specific values, and re-import it for payroll change reporting, certain pay items— such as expenses and days off — cannot be re-imported.
