This article is the second part of the EOR hiring process. If you're looking to start a new hire request, make sure to begin with submitting candidate details in Step 1. That step gathers all necessary information to estimate the full employment cost.
Lano assigns the local EOR partner based on the country og hire.
After submitting candidate details and receiving a detailed employment cost estimate, you can continue the hiring process in the Remote team members tab of the Onboarding page. This section provides a full overview of all ongoing hires. Click on any candidate's name to view their profile.
You’ll see two tabs:
Hire Progress: Shows current stage, upcoming steps, and completed actions
Contract Details: Includes all submitted information from Step 1
You’ll receive a detailed breakdown of the estimated costs associated with the hire. These costs are based on the candidate’s location, salary, and any selected allowances or bonuses.
If you agree with the terms, click "Accept and continue" to proceed.
If you do not agree with the estimate, click "Reject" to cancel the flow for this candidate.
If this is your first hire under a given business entity, you will be asked to sign the Framework Agreement (FA).This document governs the relationship between your business entity and Lano for EOR services.
The FA is signed once per entity, not per hire
You’ll need to provide the name, job title, and email of a legal signatory
Once submitted, the FA will be sent via Tomorro. After both parties sign, the process continues.
Learn more about the Framework Agreement
Once costs are accepted and the FA is signed, you can move forward by inviting the candidate.
To do so, provide:
Indicate if the hire is a new hire or a transfer from another entity
Confirm if the candidate will have long travel periods outside the country of hire
Specify notice and probation periods
Optionally add additional context or notes for the employment setup
Provide details of the person overseeing the candidate’s expenses and time off:
Full name
Department or division
Job title
Phone number (optional)
Upload an offer letter (optional)
Adjust the candidate’s invitation email address, if needed (defaults to the one provided in Step 1 of the hiring process)
When complete, click Invite Candidate. The candidate will receive an email invitation to join Lano and fill in their personal details. The hire will move forward once all information is provided by the candidate.
Once the candidate submits their personal data, the employment contract will be drafted and reviewed by all involved parties:
The candidate
Your company
Lano’s EOR provider partner
Lano (to ensure compliance and alignment with platform standards)
Each party must approve the content of the employment contract.
After contract approval, Lano will prepare a Schedule — an annex to the Framework Agreement.
This document includes:
General information about the candidate
Terms and conditions of the Employment Contract
Breakdown of costs and service fees
Payment terms
You’ll receive the Schedule for approval. After approval, the employment contract is signed, and the hire becomes legally binding.
Once the employment contract and Schedule are signed, a deposit invoice will be issued.
Required for every EOR hire
Typically equals 1 month of total costs (salary + employment cost + management fee)
May be 2 months depending on local regulations or agreed payment terms
Refunded within 60 days of final termination invoice after employment ends
Once the deposit is paid, your employee is officially onboarded.
You can track all hires under the Remote team members tab of the Onboarding page in the platform.
