In Lano, both EOR and Payroll employees are listed under the Team section. You can manage and view detailed information for all active, offboarding, inactive employees and employees with requested termination. You can filter and open individual EOR profiles, but only certain fields are editable — due to the legal nature of EOR employment.
To view your employees:
Go to Team from the main menu.
Use filters to narrow the list by:
Entity
Cost center (if enabled)
Type: Payroll or EOR
Status: Active, Termination requested, Offboarding, Inactive
Use the search bar to find a team member by name or employee ID.
Click a team member’s name to open their profile.
Each EOR employee has a status reflecting their current employment stage:
Active: The employee is fully onboarded and part of the payroll cycle.
Termination requested: Termination has been requested by the business.
Offboarding: The final payroll cycle is in progress before full deactivation.
Inactive: The employee’s termination date has passed.
Most employee details for EOR hires are contractually bound and cannot be edited by the business user. This includes fields like name, address, job title, and legal employment information. Here’s why: EOR employees are hired under a local employment contract, managed by Lano and our EOR partner. The details shown in the profile are part of legally binding documents — including the Employment Contract and Schedule. To maintain compliance, changes must be handled centrally.

Salary and benefits cannot be edited directly in the employee profile. These changes are treated as payroll changes and must be submitted as pay items in the appropriate payroll cycle.
To update salary or benefits:
In the employee profile, click Edit in cycle
Select the relevant payroll cycle
You’ll be redirected to an overview of the employee’s pay items in that cycle
From there, you can edit, delete, or add new items
